Permit Required Confined Space for Water and Wastewater Operators

Water and wastewater workers encounter many Permit Required Confined Spaces in water and wastewater systems.

This training session will educate and build awareness of the hazards of permit required confined spaces. Safety hazards associated with confined space such as atmospheric (Hydrogen Sulfide, Methane), mechanical and blood borne pathogens are unique for wastewater water collection system workers. Recognition of Permit Required Confined Spaces and knowing the proper protective equipment and procedures for entry into a permit required confined space will help keep workers safe. Having a rescue plan to extract workers without having to wait for rescue personnel is essential. This class is intended as a first time Permit Required Confined Space or as a refresher.
